Wanyonyi's driver veered off the road at annex outskirts of eldored town where he was trying to avoid a head on collision
According to the source,the MP escaped unhurt , said a driver coming from the opposite direction veered towards his car while overtaking.
"The governor helped me out of the car and I was taken to the Moi Teaching And Referral Hospital for a check-up."
Machakos Town MP Victor Munyaka was also involved in the accident.
Wanyonyi's car was in a motorcade of members of the Agriculture committee who were in Eldoret to inspect projects.
He said the committee will carry on with the assessment, that includes a fertiliser plant that is to be opened in Eldoret town.
