Former President Mwai Kibaki proceeded with his recovery at a South African healing center subsequent to experiencing a minor operation on Thursday.

Kibaki was in high spirits after specialists effectively expelled a blood coagulation in one of the supply routes in his neck.

In his 6th day at the Netcare Sunninghill Hospital in Johannesburg, the former president, in spite of having a bound neck, was peppy and even brought breakfast with close relatives at his clinic bed.

 "He is expected to come back to the country if he continues showing  his high spirits.

He has been talking with his specialists and relatives and even split jokes," a source said.
