President Uhuru Kenyatta has said pressure from parents could be one of the reasons why students burn school properties.
Uhuru, on Friday, July 29, said parent were putting too much pressure on their children to pass examinations.
“Some have com to think that the best way to release their frustrations is by burning dormitories… even as we deal with this, we also have to ask ourselves what is at the bottom of all these,” said Uhuru.
Some parents go to an extent of telling their children not to go home if they do not score an A, he said.
The pressure, according to the president, could be one of the reasons why children resort to burn properties in their schools.
