Kiambu Governor Wiliam Kabogo has been authorised by court to pay kshs 200,000 as bail after insulting Raila.
The Kiambu governor made his remarks on November 25, 2015, during the memorial of musician John de Mathew’s at Thika Stadium saying Raila Odinga is a boy and he is mentally retarded since he is not circumcised.
“Kenyans should not waste time with boys or what do you say?Said Kabogo.He continued adding that,the thing is not something that is detachable and it keeps draining someone backwards mentally.
Following his remarks, Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party officials condemned the act and remarks saying Kabogo was intruding with Raila's privacy.
According to the defence team,Kabogo was to be released for free now that he had obeyed the summons but their request was declined making him to pay for kshs 200,000 as bail.
The case will be heard on September 22 and 23.
