Reports obtained by viralnewsalerts show that Namwamba surrendered his position at a rally in Busia on Saturday July 2, 2016.
The declaration came minutes after Funyula MP Paul Otuoma additionally quit his position as ODM National Vice Chair at the same occasion.
He said that he would however stay as a party member.
Otuoma and Namwamba landed in Busia before on Saturday where they met different ODM delegates.
